The home is required to be fully off-grid so orientation and natural ventilation are key important factor in the sustainable design.
Internally the house is conceived as a single open space with the kitchen, living and studio spaces focusing towards the central fireplace and pottery display space. A limited material palette of concrete, stone, raw metal and glass provides a subtle backdrop to the artwork.
